Hi! I’m Vinicius Bellemo — an Italo-Brazilian filmmaker living in Italy.

With a background in International Relations and a degree in Cinema from the University of Udine, I create films — both animated and live action — that navigate themes of identity, technology, class struggle, and loss through poetic and symbolic storytelling.

My work has received international awards and dozens of nominations.

NEON LIGHTS, my no-budget graduation short, was selected for the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival (TOP 5 BEST SCI-FI FESTIVALS IN EUROPE) and won Best Animated Short and Best Sound at the Rome Prisma Awards.

ORANGE, my debut short animated film, also gained international recognition, winning four awards across festivals.

I’m currently working on two major projects:

A documentary about Gilberto Gil, in collaboration with Sundance-nominated director Henrique Goldman (premiering in 2025).

DISCONNESSI, an ambitious Brazil–Italy co-production now in development.
